As at 2016, the total number of volunteers in Kenya was 13,950,631 .... This is 6 million shy of the current number of registered voters. Further statistics show that; - Volunteers contributed to 3.66 % of Kenya's GDP. - 66.48% of total volunteers were between the ages of 18 - 35. - 54.17% of the beneficiaries of volunteer work were communities while 45.86% were individuals and institutions. - 58.35% of volunteers were in urban areas while 41.65% were in rural areas. He is the fourth senator to pass on in the current Senate.
