Basically there are 5 classes. but depending whether it is British or American classification. This are  Classes - A--  common workshop materials eg wood paper clothing -B----- Flammable liquids eg petrol, paints thinners _-C- live electrical equipment -D- combustible metals K---- cooking oils, animal and plants This are well detailed here below Can you now classify fires when Asked to in an exam or interview situation??
